Being Productive Day 1,409

We had a wonderfully productive day spent with Eddie's input & friends. We first went to Barb's & discussed her memory quilt. Her mother-in-law passed on 2 1/2 years ago, her mom just a year ago.  She kept several shirts from both that will be worked into this quilt The kids will be adding a significant part to it by adding some painting to the center block.  Their one gramma had taught them to paint some trees & the piece we chose for the center is a woodsy setting.  So they will accent it with the talent she shared with them.  When it comes to tying the quilt we are even involving her hubby, Bob.  He will be able to help in some of the finish work. It will truly be a building of memories that they will enjoy together for years to come. Eddie had no shortage of input either. He was quick with excellent suggestions & we saw a great deal of likeness between him & Ryan. It was funny.  Some of Eddie's quips were on the smarty side; but so were Ryan's.  None disrespectful, just typical teen & old man type.

Then we stopped for a relaxing lunch, and off to & Pastor Brian & Marsha's to work on a birthday blanket for their son.  It is going to have a hand pieced applique of bomb bird from Angry Birds in the center, then the basic blue background.  There is no pattern, just something I am putting together for her. Got the center medallion cut out. I will do the piecing & we will meet again next week to applique it to the object of the project. Then Marsha will complete it in time for presentation.

Eddie did some much needed repairs for Pastor while we were there, the circuit breaker kept popping off when they would use the microwave.  Turns out it was a simple fix, just replace the breaker.  The original was an old model & probably worn out.  So now the microwave works fine.  He & Pastor Brian then entertained young Dylan who was as smilely as ever.

Great visits in both areas & a lot was accomplished toward our goals. Truly a blessing to spend productive days with friends & family. Thanks all!! ♥ (can't believe I have counted back 51 days already, wow)
